They're a lot more of a hassle without Historia/Magicite to buff the party (and break savage levels). I actually wound up using mixed parties for both; not a shocker for dark, since I have Sephiroth but only Gen 1 and magical chains, but it's kind of weird that my ice mages did better than my physical ice when they were all relying on Celes CSB. --- I don't like this duchy.
