And were back, picking up where we left off with the Maria Mena album: Lets try to get through it today.

Maria Mena - This Too Shall Pass: 60 points. Very well performed and emotional, but not something I can particularly relate or connect with, which leaves it at a I like and respect this, but Im not going to obsess over it or get overly emotional in response to it type zone. Still a good song though.

Maria Mena - Takes One to Know One: 64 points.

Maria Mena - Money: Back on the so personal and so specific that its hard to say anything about train, but this time in a song that really doesnt appeal to me on much of any level. 30-something points, probably towards the lower end (33.something-or-other is my first guess).

Maria Mena - It Took Me by Surprise: 50 points. The type of heavier than I really want to deal with, but not so overly heavy that I actively dislike it.

Maria Mena - Secrets: 50.419 ; like above, but I kinda like parts of it.

Maria Mena - Am I Supposed to Apologize: 52 points. Like Money, but its a stronger and better songthough again, its way too personal a song to really leave itself open for any critique.

Good album, though not really one for me personally. Still was worth the attempt though since shes an artist I was interested in. Would not mind trying another album of hers later.



And back to Korones covers to clear that section of the list out.

Pochi Korone - Shakunetsu Switch (Acapella): ...I dont even know at this point. This is another version of the song I left off with last time, right? I started off actively hating the song, but then at some pointed I started laughing at it, then I think laughing with it, and I simultaneously hate it; like it; and hate how much I like it. Somewhere between 13 and 73 pointsthis is one of those tracks that can wind up anywhere on the list. Lets just say 60 points at the moment, with a note that the score will likely fluctuate wildly in all directions on repeated listens.

Pochi Korone - Hana ha Odori Reya Iroha ni Ho: 63 points. Cute.

Pochi Korone - We Are!: Not a fan of One Piece, but this is fairly cute. 57 points.

Pochi Korone - Panzer Vor! (Acapella): 53.80 points; its certainly different.

Pochi Korone - Aikatsu! Calendar Girl: 47 points. Not quite my thing.

Pochi Korone - One More Time, One More Chance: 85 points feels right here. This is a pretty drastic improvement over the rest of her songs in this particular block.

Took me too long to get to whatever playlist was next and its been nuked from existence, so moving along to the next functional link...

Asashi Seto x Minai Karte - Waves: Ooh, this is a really good one. Theres something very relaxing about their voices. 95 points.

I would normally break after a score that high, but Ive got some time to kill before I can play Yakuza, so lets press on with at least one more song anyway. My apologies to whoever has the misfortune of following that song.



Sato Myumyu - orbit: 66 points. This is actually pretty nice.

Monokaki Aer - Kaerou: 66 points. Also pretty nice, so lets just let the songs tie for a bit.



Okay, that was pretty good progress today.
