Ill make a point of skipping that song for now then.

The Dear Hunter - The Poison Woman: Lets go with the full 60 points here. Its kinda a villain song, it kinda reminds me of Pimp/Priests song, its almost funny in how out of place it seems (we run away from a tank and then spontaneously run into a crazy woman who murders men for fun?). Its amusing and fun, though Im not in love with itcertainly comes closer to capturing the feel of the Act IV songs I like more than the opening tracks did.

The Dear Hunter - The Thief: Not bad. The dreamy, hypnotic qualities of the verses & chorus are quite appealing, though the interlude goes on a bit too long. 66 points, perhaps?

The Dear Hunter - Mustard Gas: For being a song about chemical warfare, I was expecting something more...explicit than this turned out to be. 58 points? I actually like a fair amount of the lyrics, but feel like Im missing something that remains undefined. (Could just be that the song wasnt what I was expecting and opinion would go up when listened to now that I know what it is.)

The Dear Hunter - Saved: I dont like the backing music on this track, though as usual I cant place why its putting me on edge. Nothing wrong with his vocal performance or the lyrics though... somewhere between high 40s and low 50s. (Its something I should be listening to more often to work on why Im bothered, but also not something I particularly like, so its bit variable.)

Which brings me to the track Im supposed to skip, which is a good excuse to take a break and go for some DARK ADVENTURE music from the Pathologic 2 soundtrack.

Theodor Bastard - Darkness: The ominous and oppressive feeling of the instrumental opening is fantastic, but the song loses something once the singing starts. Just repeating Hello, Darkness isnt exactly spooky... there are other lyrics, eventually, but Im always left wanting an instrumental version of the song. 54 points seems reasonable.

Theodor Bastard - Children Are Burying The Doll: 53 points. I kinda always laugh at creepy children these days, after WWE ruined the concept. Theres this ridiculous match some number of years ago where John Cena lost to Bray Wyatt because a creepy singing child was standing in his way; now whenever SPOOKY SINGING CHILD shows up, I just picture Cena pretending to be afraid of them and any dramatic tension is completely destroyed.

...mind you, I love wrestling when its being goofy and Im totally going to go watch that match again later tonight...

Theodor Bastard - Drops in The Endless: Ambient environmental track, though not one of my favorites. I appreciate what its trying to do, but its more slow and forgetful than foreboding. 52 points, Im thinking? I like the idea of it.

Theodor Bastard - Mourning Of The Gone: Exactly 50 points. Didnt leave much impression, Im afraid.

Now if youll excuse me, I have a terrible wrestling match to go rewatch.
