| Yazarogi 02/15/21 9:59:23 AM #14: | Kansas is getting fucked, lost power at 2 AM. well I didnt realize the heat pump shouldnt be turned on immediately after a power outage that lasts longer then 30 minutes (it was roughly 3 hour outage) and fell asleep before the power came back on, I guess if you dont want for the refrigerant to thaw after that it can do something called coolant slugging so really hoping the power outage wasnt a $1,500 issue despite not being my fault and not understanding that mechanism of the heat pump. Our heating coil is dog shit and only getting us to about 64 degrees on emergency heat mode. its a very stressful day but we are all huddled in a room with an electric heater so we are at least warm in one part of the house. --- "There will be nothing to show that we were ever here... but stardust." - Pinbacker ...
