I think that going back to a previous dungeon and having boss fights outside of dungeons were cool concepts, they just weren't executed that well. But I mostly just found them to be fairly bland rather than annoying, except for the later imprisoned fights where it's difficult to even get close to it. I've only fought the Imprisoned once so far, and I remember struggling to get close to it in the later fights. In this first fight, I just used Skyward Strikes to hit the toes. Didn't take any damage at all.
