And I always got away with it Yeah, there was actually a term for this in some of the fast food places I worked. "Blanch the fries" Used to do all sorts of shit to keep the timer down, like deep frying hot dogs at Hardee's, throwing old fries back in the fryer so they appeared fresh, dipped old beef patties in hot water, then throwing them back on the grill just for a second. The things they used to have you do at fast food are disgusting. I worked at so many of these places back when I was 16 to 19 or so.
