I decided to check out a few chapters of Horiyama, and very quickly noticed that the end of episode 2 implies a whole chaoter was skipped. It's likely just as a way to get an episode ender, but I'm spooked enough that I'm gonna go ahead and read it <_< Still gonna watch, of course.
