(First Thoughts: I still dont like anything related to dancing & this song desperately needed more Robotnik, but its reasonably funny.)

This is so much better now that Ive listened to Evacuate the Dancefloor to know what this song is a parody of. Also, after spending so much time trying to decipher why I strongly dislike Crash, I now somewhat like Cortex due to our shared hatred.

I actually really love this song now.

(First Thoughts: While it could stand to be even more demonic, it does a fine enough job as it is. Interesting band, I might look at another song or two of theirs later.)

When you wanted to replace one of your nominations, I was genuinely worried that it was going to be this one. I would have been quite disappointed if Id wound up losing a top-tier song... thankfully you chose to replace a song I didnt really care about and this one survived.

Its a very avant-garde song (I see arguments on if its avant-garde rock or avant-garde metal, and I do not care enough about genre distinctions to weigh in on that debate) which is catchy enoughits certainly not too metal which is likely where the arguments come fromand I naturally like the idea of a non-human trying to pass judgment on humanity for being a plague. Its not quite as openly demonic as Id like, but its...demon adjacent, shall we say?

[Final Thoughts: One of the songs I was most looking forward to hearing again Its not quite my favorite, but its always a treat to hear.

...and really, you're surprised by this song lasting so long? Have I somehow not asked for demonic songs and non-human songs enough? Like, I know lots of the things that appeal to me so directly went down earlier (Darkside says hello), but this has been pretty consistent in its placement.]

A mostly good set. As I said it was always nice hearing more Fair to Midland (I tease them, but I hope it comes off as playful as I mean it to), Skindred was pretty unique (and Id forgotten they were nominated at a past topic, so that was a good reminder), and you had a good spread of scoresout of 7 nominations, you managed to hit 6 different tiers.

Bizarrely, the only time two of your Extra Songs were on the same tier, they managed to tie with each other. Thats a weird piece of trivia for ya.

Also, Ill never forget Hope Diggy. That was definitely a thing.

...Well that was terrible, the game music is so loud that you can almost never hear the other song. I guess its kinda funny watching everyone rave to the thrilling sounds of Garfields Amiga soundtrack, but thats about it.

[Final Thoughts: This might be the best example of the type of sad, but not completely soul-crushing lyrics that I keep searching for. But for as much as I love the song, the lyrics have a lot of repetition... theyre fantastic lines, but the song doesnt really have six minutes of content in it.

The original version of the song deals with the length by being significantly shorter (only 3:47), though its decidedly more shouty than the Royal Albert Hall version and I actually prefer it with the orchestral accompaniment than the electronic sound from the originalwith these feelings of sadness and loneliness, the realism of the violins really compliments things better. Original is still good though, the lyrics are exactly what Im looking for, so itd be pretty hard to screw the song up... definitely prefer the Royal Albert Hall version though.

And of all the Rave.DJ songs to survive the glitches, of course that intentionally terrible abomination survives. I advise not clicking on it, since you cant even hear this song over Garfield Amiga for it to serve any point.]
