I was worried I accidentally telegraphed Carol Brown being your highest ranked song when I posted that one space-filling Muppets song and openly praised it for having been written by someone from Flight of the Conchords. The rather panicked well, I probably shouldnt have said that reaction was quite realnot that I havent overly telegraphed some things in rankings, but that was definitely the first accidental spoiler.

Well, so long as you either didnt notice or I successfully played it off as a joke, I suppose it all worked out.

(First Thoughts: Soo... after all my complaints about songs with orchestras and songs dealing with suicide, out of every album on the entire planet, you decided to pick one that opens with orchestras and attempted suicide.

...I like it a lot and Im glad you did, but man, this feels like one of the largest gambles anyones bet on at any of these topics.)

A fantastic song that actually got me hyped up and excited to listen to the rest of the album. The orchestra helps soften the more metal aspects of the band, Ive always liked songs about embracing darkness, and its...almost optimistic in learning to live with depression? It probably romanticizes depression a bit too much, but its definitely the type of song I was looking for.

[Final Thoughts: Its still a fantastic song thats actually what I was looking for, but Im not quite as into it as the second time around.]

(First Thoughts: Well, at least they saved the worst track for last.)

I find this rather sleep inducing. It doesnt really matter to me if its just a love song or a religious song or whatever, I just find myself unable to care about any aspect of the song.

...I hope youre not looking for more insight than that because I have none.

[Later: Sorry. Im trying to find something else to say here to expand the writeup, but I just find the song very boring. Sleep inducing isnt quite the right term (I can at least keep my eyes open while listening to this track, unlike certain others from this topic), but its just...dull and lacking any lyrics that I have any type of interest in.]

[Not-So-Final Thoughts: I do kinda like his deeper voice on this song... still not into it, but lets move it up to the mid-40s? Seems a bit more appropriate.]

[Even Later: Lets try the high 70s. Im getting rather attached to his voice on this track.]

[Still Later: Lets just skip the 80 point tier entirely and move it up to 90 points. Ive fallen in love with his voice on this track, but its not in serious contention to win the contest.]

[Final Thoughts: So, weve got the same vaguely spiritual type of lyrics about the karmic ocean and what not that this album is known for and this...honestly isnt even the best spiritual song from the album. But his voice is so perfect on this track that I could listen to him sing anything with this voice and Id probably love it anyway.

And this song features a massive increase in ranking, well over 500 spaces itself. Perhaps this is the actual largest increase? Hard to say when multiple songs are rising so many rankings...]
