Amazon had a store concept that would automatically charge people's cards with anything they walked out with. I have no clue what happened to that concept but that is my dream store, literally walk in grab whatever you want then walk right out the door, everything is automatically charged to a card.

The concept is live. Amazon Go. I think the first one debuted sometime last year. There's a few videos of people on YouTube doing it.

The problem with some self checkouts is not much space in the bagging areas once its after 15 items.

That's a purposeful design feature to actively discourage people with lots of items from using self checkout. Where I worked self checkout was explicitly meant to be an alternative to the express lanes and not for a full cart. We would redirect people with too many items. Not every place has the rule explicitly stated or labeled, but the design of the self checkouts is very clearly implicit of being express.
