I'm just wondering how valid "we got permission to be here from Trump" is as a defense for the ones who aren't breaking or stealing anything. If I remember correctly, the president actually needs Congress's permission to go into the Capitol building himself. Considering this, I find hard to believe the president is allowed to let other people in on his own. But even if I'm wrong about that, Trump never explicitly said his followers were allowed to enter the Capitol.
