I would hope so. You can assume basically any action taken by this administration at this point is an attempt to salt the earth.
One thing I am not looking forward to is Biden firing all of Trump's last minute inner circle appointments, and his base claiming it's corruption. They likely only did this in the first place so that if Biden takes them off of it they can point to it as proof that Cuba helped steal the election. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

That can be changed right back, right?Presumably. If it's somehow more than something that Biden or his next Secretary of State can just undo... the Congressional Review Act would probably cover it and that just requires majorities in Congress and is not subject to filibuster. But I would assume it's the former and wouldn't even go that far but I'll admit I have not researched this particular action. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? ... Depends If we don't impeach Trump and allow the actions of the 1/6 terrorists to go without consequences towards the people that enable them, then they will continue to feel empowered to try and tear down the government via violent means, at which point having senate majority doesn't really matter. Unless the majority is used to actually deem these people legally terrorists like they deserve, which would hopefully cause many of them to think twice. The main reason you wouldn't want to convict Trump on impeachment is because people may see it is suppressing their vote for him in 2024, and that lowers confidence in democracy. But at this point, Trump has already lost an election, and the people who don't believe he lost show no signs of coming around to seeing that. Trump running in 2024 would be a disaster for our country and him winning would be terrifying. So I'm fine with GOP senators voting to convict.

They'll feel empowered whether or not he's impeached. Zealots have the ability to twist anything into an excuse for more zealotry. Impeaching Trump just means the deep state is scared of him, ect.
