(First Thoughts: Good ambiance.)

Sadly, Im not as into this song as I was the first time around. Its still good (Im hardly giving out 70 points to just any song) and I enjoy the exploring a mysterious cave ambience this song gives off, but its not something Im in love with.

[Final Thoughts: I know its not any real consolation, but it was once amongst the highest rated songs. It has that type of mysterious exploration feel that I like, so it was quite easy to get into and enjoy. But while I found new appreciation for hundreds of songs that Id written off, this one... kinda always felt the same. Its a song I like in a genre I like, but there are other mysterious exploration songs I like more.]

In spite of not having anything to do with Crash Bandicoot, this album inexplicably helped me established how strongly I dislike the character. So that was interesting.

I was a bit wary of this album, as I remembered Mazedudes only other nomination (Purple Streets) getting a fairly low score last year... looking back it had scores roughly the equivalent of

Final: 66

(Though I was much more generous with points then, so its not quite exact)

So apparently I did eventually like Purple Streets. Huh. Dont remember that, I just remember the abysmally low scores from the first two listens.

...I also recall With My Mind getting higher scores than it did, so apparently I dont remember anything about the middle of the list.

Aaanywho..., there were some songs I liked and it was nice getting some context for Mazedude other than that guy who made that Purple song I didnt like (which apparently I did like).

(First Thoughts: Im apparently in the mood for this tonight. Curious.)

An eight minute long overly epic orchestral battle theme. This songs actually good though, so it gets a relatively high score.

I think its helped largely due to the operatic singers and the way the song switches between Latin & English. A multi-language opera is unique, at least in terms of songs that get nominated, which is probably worth some extra points. And the music itself is, as stated, good. So I like this one.

[Final Thoughts: Perhaps the only good Epic Battle Theme.

...alright, so there are definitely others, but its fairly rare for things in that category to get a high score from me.]

Not a lot to say here. Your list consisted almost entirely of VGM that I didnt have a very strong reaction to, which doesnt inspire a lot to talk about. At least you had one of the few Epic Battle Themes that I actually like, so that was nice.
