6. The Promised Neverland
35 points

Grace Field House seems like an idyllic orphanage, with its warm beds, plentiful food, cheerful kids, and, at the center of it all, the loving caretaker the children call Mama. However, all is not as it seems as protagonist Emma finds out that it's actually a facility to ship children off as food for the demons that run the world.
Known for its amazing first arc that's heavy with mystery and intrigue, TPN is a successful series even with the less-popular later arcs, recently getting an anime and a live action movie. Although the manga has ended this year, side-stories are still being published, highlighting the stories of its side characters.

5. Chainsaw Man
40 points

Denji was a homeless young man with seemingly no future, until he met a weird...dog...thingy called Pochita, who gave him the power to transform into Chainsaw Man, with chainsaws in place of his arms and head. It's surprisingly violent and suggestive for a WSJ series, but its sense of style and atypical writing really caught the heart of manga fans everywhere.
It has finished its run in WSJ and will continue in the Shonen Jump+ app. An anime series was also announced, with studio MAPPA at the helm, who also made the Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan anime.
