If she was really cut up about this, she would own up to it, say that she's genuinely changed for the better and working for more positive outcomes, and say sorry.

Like, she thinks she's in the right by saying "it's a three second clip that's being taken out of context, we should all love and support each other instead of tearing each other down like this online hate mob is doing!" - but that three second clip is of her saying the n-word. She doesn't get to play the victim here, because she should have known better and people aren't wrong to be calling her out for her hypocrisy.

The starting point of a good apology would be something like "I said the word as a teenager, it was wrong, and I'm sorry. I've worked towards bettering myself, and I genuinely hope to further causes that empower the disenfranchised like BLM in the wake of the George Floyd death". The fact that she's going "why is everyone being so mean to me over a 3 second clip?" scans as her just being sorry she got caught, and the language she does use in regards to the language she used - "I can't believe the hateful things that came out of my mouth" - is a bunch of cop-out faux-woke horseshit. She knew what she was saying.
