Topic	Grunt and legion are probably the two best companions in ME

Grunt is one of the first companions though right? I thought he was part of the first wave. I recall getting grunt mid-late game. The guy is virtually indestructible with his shield skill maxed out and his shotgun turns to basically a rocket launcher.
