(First Thoughts: If there were a contest for best message delivered in the most annoying way, I think this song would have to be in the running.)

I cant object to the message. Like, of course you always leave a tip for your waitress, they need those to survive. (There is an argument to be made against tipping culture, but I have no interest in making it [and why would you even want me to have a serious discussion about society in the first place?] and youre just an ass if you try making it to someone who is working for tips & serving you at that exact moment)

Not...not really sure why you had to call her a bitch four times and start screaming about FUCKING CHANGE like a mentally ill hobo. Its not offensive (though the waitress would probably disagree), but it makes the singer sound strangely unhinged. And not in a fun way.

But what if its a METAPHORICAL WAITRESS??

...Is it just me or is Metaphorical Waitress a great band name?

(First Thoughts: I actually missed this one on my first sweep through all the songs, leaving me at 630 ranked... took a while for me to track down which one was missing. Pretty nice song to end on, actually.)

Regrettably, I do not feel anything towards this song at all on a second listen. I know I usually like ambient tracks, heck I actually did like this quite a bit the first time around, but at the moment this song does absolutely nothing for me. Cant say I dislike it, but I also cant understand why I liked it at all either, so it joins the mass graveyard that is the exact 50 deathzone.

...Perhaps Ill remember why I liked this when it comes time for the final score, but I wouldnt count on it.

[Not-Quite-Final Thoughts: Well, I dont like it as much as the first time, but Im enjoying itlets say 60 points for now and revisit it when we get to that part of the list?]

[Final Thoughts: One of those songs that continuously bounces around the rankings, flipping tiers with every listen. Right now, this feels like a Deus Ex type song to me. Its very futuristic, like youre DUDE MCCOOL with your TRENCHCOAT and SUNGLASSES that you wear at night because youre so cool and youre driving down the streets of FUTURE NEW YORK while checking your weapon loadout for STEALTH MISSION that will inevitably end in MASS MURDER because youre not very good at the stealth thing & really its the games fault giving you so much ammo & letting you equip the rocket launcher in the first place.]

(First Thoughts: Its a little unsettling, which is good. If it was very unsettling, it would be great, but I do want to come back to this song later. Im hoping that Ill connect with it more next time and itll give the sensation some of Mycro / Toxtricitys best picks are known for.)

The song never goes beyond mildly unsettling, which is unfortunate. I want the song to crush my completely, but this...doesnt.

It feels rather like being alone on a space station, but a functional one that doesnt have any real problems. Theres some unease about being alone, but honestly, youre completely safe and just being paranoid.

...which is a different type of ambience, but not an amazing one.

[Final Thoughts: Good song of the right genre, it just doesnt hit hard enough to get any further on the list.]
