We've been together for 7 years and I know this fucking shit. It was the joke. I objectively threw the best Christmas we've had in years. And we have a good and healthy relationship outside of this. I did fuck up and when the awkward 5 minutes were up she tried to make it unawkward by awkwardly touching me and I kinda shook just to show like "wtf you doing you just made this shit weird af by overreacting" so that definitely didn't put out the fire lmao I'll admit I'm being a passive aggressive dick too. Like I'm fully aware of what I'm doing but this all stemmed from a completely innocent joke after I did a crazy amount of shit to make this Christmas happen. And I'm just blowing off steam.
