I dont think anybody is trying to make lab grown meat seem like anything other than meat. A lot of the marketing is based around convincing people that its just meat.

Theres no way that cultured meat could be considered vegan. Its clearly an animal product.

You would be suprised. I have alot of family that have religous objections to food. Then I have family that has moral objections. There is already a vegan ripple saying that if a meat is cultivated in a bioreacter then it is more veg than meat as no animal is harmed or killed. Currently the meat cultivated is only listed as no kill as it does use animal products (from non living animal tissue).

The vegans interested in this either for there own personal consumption or for pets are looking for plant protein raised tissue as this means an animal is not being exploited, harmed or killed. They look at like the spit or swallow arguement
