The US government (and many other governments, but we are taking about the US right now) has advocated violence throughout its history and has been involved in multiple genocides.

Does that mean the US government will no longer be allowed to advocate for violence?
Sadly being violent and/or genocidal is not limited to a specific ideology. People in power use the tools of power to oppress others.
