I'd say you should probably quarantine regardless and assume he has what is most likely a mild/asymptomatic carrier. Have you been in contact with the kid since? He lives here. I haven't been in close contact but he is all over the house. So, it would be inevitable. It definitely sounds like they don't want to test him though. This is how spread happens btw. They won't test him. She will get it and prance around like she normally does and spread it a ton if he does have it.
