(First Thoughts: Well, its definitely a piece of VGM, Ill say that about it. Parts of it feel like a shmup song, particularly a horizontal scrolling shmup, as you weave up and down between the bullets. But parts of it feel like a BONUS STAGE, which is odd. And other parts are filled with hope, which is okay, but Im more into sad songs than hopeful songs & why is a shmup trying to make me hopeful anyway? And since this is from an MMO, I can say that its probably not shmup related, or a bonus stage, though it could be hopeful I really dont know what emotion theyre aiming for wherever this disjointed mash-up of feelings actually plays.)

Im apparently on a Gradius kick tonight as everything sounds like Gradius to me, but this stands out as top tier Gradius song and possibly best in the franchise as opposed to merely being a song that reminds me of Gradius.

...that makes no sense in the least, but Im sticking with it.

[Final Thoughts: Still a good shmup song (and again, I know theres 0% chance of that being what the song was going for), though Im not as into it as the first two times.]

What a distressingly mainstream pick. Im sure Im losing some of my completely insane taste cred by going with such a popular rock song, but what can I say? Any song that talks about being home in the darkness is basically starting with 100 points and the song never does anything I dislike. I am starting to get a bit tired of it because Ive heard it so many times, but its something that Ill still throw on occasionally because I just love some of the lyrics enough that Ill probably always like the song, at least somewhat.

[Not-So-Final Thoughts: Huh, you know Im actually kinda digging this tonight. Lets move this to the high 40s for a bit.]

[Still Not Final Thoughts: Yeah, I think I like this somewhat. Were moving on up again to the slightly more than 50 points tier.]

[Slightly Later: Nah, I like this a fair amount... I dont think its quite 60 point worthy, but lets move it to the 55 point area? See how we feel about the song there.]

[Final Thoughts: 54 feels right. I do like it, but not quite 55 points worth. Definitely one of the songs that got bounced around the most, so thats...a mildly interesting statistic?

...Also I have no idea why random space-filling songs wer getting their titles in CAPS LOCK and bold like actual songs. Think Burning For You is the only song I did that on, so thats also mildly interesting, but not really.]
