Also unlike most shonen protags he starts off the story strong and not some lame tryhard underdog. I like Luffy for that too. These guys are strong and know it. Granted he does have seriously cringy moments at times like most shonen MCs. But even on looks alone the guy is a damn fashion icon. The problem with Izuku is he looks so lame all the time, even when he does cool stuff. As for the new anime well the TYBW had a very strong first half. I'd argue it's the best written part of the series, more than Soul Society. Some of the fights will be spectacular beyond anything we saw before (Yama finally going all out, Ichibei vs YH, Elite SternRitter). The ending is super rushed and trash but they can fix that.
