All the EN girls are great. As time has gone by, the girls I wasn't as into (calli and ina) have risen for me but gura, kiara, and ame are still great too. I do feel a bit bad about calli getting no response but I have to assume hololive has some way of contacting atlus so I kind of wonder how that stream was ever approved in the first place.

I've been really goin down the vtuber rabbit hole the last 2 days to the point that random vtuber streams keeping popping into my recommended. Sometimes the entire channel name is in japanese, all the comments are in japanese, the person is only speaking japanese, and it has like 300 viewers and I wonder how I got there.

Did watch one english speaking vtuber hit 50k (kana) and just saw pekora hit 1 mil.

The tiny bit of chicken I was having a week or so ago. About half of one bite worth. It was amazing. That said, I'm surprised I can still sort of enjoy brown rice after having it 6 times a day for 18 months. Almost off my previous med so I'll be starting a new med soon. If it works, I could be eating more foods as soon as xmas which would be amazing.

To have some kind of baseline, for whenever I do get a new gpu, I fired up Borderlands 2 to see what I'd played the game at before and it seems like 24fps and lower is what I played the game at lol.

Otherwise I haven't really watched any anime or manga in the last week or two. I had been playing New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe a bit, but haven't touched that in the past few days either. Trials of Mana arrived the other day, though, so at some point I'll either play that or that copy of Runefactory 4 I wound up overpaying on because I didn't think it would get a Black Friday deal.

Exploring the Funimation library. Tons of titles in there, less overlap than I expected.

Since streaming has made most anime accessible to me, I am starting to focus my searching on titles on DVD that have gone down the cracks and not been picked up (e.g. all those old OAVs under the Central Park Media / U.S. Manga Corps and Anime Works umbrellas). Got a good deal on Tekkaman Blade II, and that is only the beginning.

The last of the new hololive ID gen is debuting now. I think I have that right. I like the zombie and the silver hair one. I think the zombie one will go far.

Been playing god eater 3 and man this story just keeps making no sense. How the fuck are they containing the AGEs? Each one is a damn super human 1 man army and theres so many of them. Additionally, why is no one more impressed and afraid of your teams ability to beat ashborne? Like, you are the only team that can do this so by logic that should man you are the strongest force in the world. Why does your team listen to anybody then? Like, wtf are they gonna do if they can't handle a single ashborne meanwhile we mow through like 20 of em.

Also there was literally a line "i don't know what to think is right anymore...so all that I can do now is what I think is right". Bruh. You'd also think with how many ashborn there are and how few ports there are...how the fuck does the world even still exist long enough for our characters to reach the age they do? Like, somehow this tiny vestige of humanity holds on for like 10+ years despite the fact that they have literally no way to defeat, detect (in time), or even run away from thousands and thousands of prowling monsters. They realistically shouldn't last even a week much less a decade. I get that it's a shonen plot so you aren't supposed to think too hard but it's not like 1 plot hole, it's like every single thing is a plot hole.

In a proper nest/caravan/base, they usually give their God Eaters a good supply of it regularly so it's usually never mentioned ever again after the initial one-off line.

As for why they treat AGEs worse than regular GEs, "they're closer to being aragami than humans" is the reason apparently. Which is definitely shounen plot levels of stupid.

Though, the cynic in me can definitely see how they can treat them that way, seeing as how actual real world racists do the same or worse to other people.

Was surprised to see it start airing too. Was expecting it to start next month. Wonder if it's gonna have a weird number of eps like 15 or 16, so that's why they're starting early.

But theres literally an entire organization of them just living out in the ashlands by themselves. Not to mention with just a little bias factor, they could kill everyone else on their caravan and take it all for themselves. Theres no reason god eaters can't get the bais factor the same way the normal humans are doing it. We see them casually block a huge missile explosion in a cutscene which seems to be the strongest thing the caravans are equipped with. It's like normal humans trying enslave a race of supermen, the power difference is just too great to make any sense.

It makes even less sense how crimson queen AGEs are kamikaze attacking ports with ash storms when they could just walk in there and kill everyone manually. Like, the idea that gleipnir could even attempt to resist crimson queen is laughable.

Also despite all these awful plot holes and the most generic obvious direction for the story to go...the ending still got me feeling good. Having the silent protagonist outside of grunts and stock phrases at the end of missions suddenly have a bunch of voice lines in the final confrontation hits different man. It's like when the OP starts playing in a battle in anime.

The final boss was super lame gameplay wise though. I don't understand the need of all MH clones (and MH itself) to make large lumbering enemies that ignore you and you just wail on their various parts for like 10+ minutes. It's never fun. It's never been fun. Stop it.

Considering how much post game stuff I want to do now. Guess I should at least beat rank 7. but theres like 80 more certifications left and time attack and snack missions and assault missions and extra story episodes and crimson ashlands. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I've now fought every single enemy type in the game so I'm not sure if theres much point fighting higher stat versions.

I'm excited for Bleach returning next year. I heard the way it ended was a mess back in 2012.......Excited to see a proper ending. Currently on episode 220 and I'm trying to finish before the modified ending debuts.

the reason it ended then was because they didn't have enough material for another season, so they went on hiatus until they could start again...but then the manga ended and everyone kinda lost interest. i'm actually surprised they decided to do the last arc so long after it ended.

Oh wow. I had read that the publisher had pressured or rushed Kubo. Maybe that's partly true.

Ichigo is way cooler. Also unlike most shonen protags he starts off the story strong and not some lame tryhard underdog. I like Luffy for that too. These guys are strong and know it. Granted he does have seriously cringy moments at times like most shonen MCs. But even on looks alone the guy is a damn fashion icon. The problem with Izuku is he looks so lame all the time, even when he does cool stuff.

As for the new anime well the TYBW had a very strong first half. I'd argue it's the best written part of the series, more than Soul Society. Some of the fights will be spectacular beyond anything we saw before (Yama finally going all out, Ichibei vs YH, Elite SternRitter). The ending is super rushed and trash but they can fix that. The CFYOW novels tied up tons of loose ends and hopefully will be incorporated.

If you like that you must like almost every shonen ever. Being a meek lame underdog MC is super cliche. Granted he has become very strong now, but yet still Horikoshi is trying to sell the underdog narrative to us. He's better than everyone but Shigaraki. I wonder what asspulls the author will do to make Bakugo keep up so that Deku actually doesn't look badass. The reason I like Ichigo, Luffy (and you can include Gon and Killua) is that they are badasses from the start (more like the rival character). Not to say they don't have hardships and stuff, Ichigo had a lot. But I can skip the whole my rival is so much better than me crap.

Forgot to say that while I have my critiques of Deku I still enjoy MHA a lot. Unlike Black Clover which I dropped in the 220s and am only picking up now again. I actually like the power system and designs in BC better than the other modern series, but it's just so bog standard otherwise. That and it takes more than a passing inspiration from BLEACH, to put it mildly. At some points you feel like you reading the same manga. I stopped when they were about to enter the Heart Kingdom, so picking up from there. But I don't care about spoilers so I've seen some of the big events coming. Credit to Horikoshi because I've never lost interest in his series.

I don't really like MHA. I feel like it takes itself the wrong level of serious. Like, the writing isn't tight enough to actually be taken seriously and thats no surprise. You fill a world with thousands of unique gimmicks and it's going to be virtually impossible to write a story that holds up to much scrutiny. The problem is, the show keeps wanting me take it that seriously so it just pisses me off that various people aren't utilizing their powers efficiently or that the bad guys plans are really stupid. If the show took itself a bit less serious, I feel like I could forgive a lot of that pretty easily. A decent example being that demon king academy anime recently that was completely full of nonsense and I enjoyed a lot.

Woah, checking out next season and damn it's fuckin stacked. Slime 2nd season, attack on titan final season, dr stone 2nd season, yuru camp 2nd season, re:zero 2:2 (they seriously gotta stop with this 2nd season part 1 bullshit), like 50 isekai's and another fuckin yuri anime hell yeah 2 seasons in a row we're back on the right path of anime.

Theres like 15 shows with the fantasy tag. If even 20% of those are decent that'll be pretty sweet. I'm hyped.

Also started playing Nioh 2 in preparation for the final DLC which comes out in 8 days. Still no idea why that game is one that my body can tolerate pretty well but I'm not complaining. Was torn between starting over and just continuing and decided to continue with my old save. The new weapons are pretty sweet. Claws are like insanely fast for a soulslike weapon. Honestly claws are fast for like a DMC/ninja gaiden weapon. Went ahead and beat DotSt and started Demon doing a twilight mission and a scroll. They were cruel enough to give me a scroll with kashin, the boss I am the worst at to fight while I'm still remembering the controls but I got it after a couple tries. Still as fun as I remember.

Cliches are not bad in themselves. And that one actually isn't even particularly common in shounen. They're usually more confident, energetic or hungry for battle, with a slightly brash personality.

He's not better, or he'd be the number one hero already. Strength alone isn't everything, and he still can't even handle the full power he was given.

tldr; if he doesn't do this, someone else can claim his music as their own and potentially abuse the claim id system to damage not just clippers who use his song, but even Amelia herself, and even Cover/hololive.

The guy himself is pretty cool about it and has the fan/artist mentality of "this should be free always", but he has to do this in order to protect himself, his music, and his connection to Cover.

It's a pretty informative talk and shows a lot about how music copyright works in regards to samples and remixes.

My Hero Academia has its ups and downs, I would still say its a solid Shonen, im my own ratings system I would give it a B.

My favorite Shonens will always by FMA:Brotherhood and Hunter x Hunter. Love Attack on Titan just as much but it doesnt seem like a Shonen. Yu Yu Hakusho gets runner up until after Dark Tournament Arc.
