They are just ignorant and oblivious. My fiancee for example refuses to get a vaccine, refuses to follow any orders to not see people outside of our household, and complains about wearing masks every chance she gets. I have zero doubt she will get me killed right before I can get a vaccine. She doesn't care though and won't until someone in her family succumbs to it. And, unfortunately, without that happening she will point to it all being overblown and me being a scaredy-cat otherwise. So, I mean, what can you do? I am not like Red.
