It's a dick move, sure, but it's your life and your work. $200 a month for family medical really isn't that bad, it sounds to me like it's an HDHP compared to a PPO from Option 1. That means you have more flexibility with those funds and you can rollover more of the dollars from year to year (only if it's an HDHP, definitely confirm that).
