The Airpods icon thing showing the battery will pop up on my iPhone but I can rarely get audio to play through the pods. It'll keep playing through the phone speakers no matter what I do. It's enough of a headache that I sometimes stick to the wired earpods for my iPhone. My iPad Pro has never and will never acknowledge the existence of my AirPods. Wtf.
