Full disclosure: I hadnt been a fan of any of the Necrodancer or Danganronpa songs Id heard, so this album was the one I most dreaded listening to based on the name alone. At least the opening song here is not unpleasant, like I expected it to be. I dont like the voice saying the name of the game (I dont know why that type of thing tends to annoy me, but it usually does), but it really isnt that bad. [Final Thoughts: I do typically like computerized voices, but I typically dislike songs that state the games name without even bothering to work it into an entire lyric or something. So thats a bit of a wash. At least this isnt like that one song from Ar tonelico 2 that feels the need to spell out the games title while saying it. (A-R T-O-N E-L-I-C-O, Ar tonelico!) Hate that song. Dramatic chords that build up the reveal of a Big Bad, then...stop very quickly. I can only assume this song was tied to a very short cutscene and never intended to be listened to on its own because theres really nothing here. [completely unrelated song discussion GO!] Sonic Galactic Unused Track - Man VS Machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHPuqa4sgSQ The songs creator was unable to continue working on the games soundtrack, so this song doesnt actually appear anywhere in the game. Which means I cant really nominate it anywhere, unfortunately. Its a pretty neat track! I like the sample that gave the track its name at the start & I like the Sonic CD vibe it hasits not going to be my one of my favorite Sonic songs or anything, but for a fan made track (especially a fan track that never even made it into a game), this is actually really good and deserves more exposure than its likely to get. The world could always use more Sonic CD styled songs.
