I've had steaks the past 3 thanksgivings, skipped the turkey. If you want to do it then do it, people need to stop acting like it's a law to eat turkey.

That said I'm ok with turkey. I much prefer chicken, but neither has to be dry. It's entirely a temperature thing. Even people who watch for temp forget about carry over cooking, that's probably the main culprit. But if you get that right then you can have a moist white and dark meat.

The problem is turkey just doesn't taste that good. It has a gamey flavor vs chicken's savoriness, and the fibers are so large. The worst part is the super thick skin (yes even after separating and stuffing under it). It's not nearly as satisfying as a crispy roast chicken.
