...Theres an argument that 0.01 to 0.99 is a whole tier for songs that scored less than 1 whole point without being zerod out, but it seems too...small to be worth the distinction.

(Also the opening post has an error. It should say 0.01~9.99, but says 0.99 instead, creating the impression that its impossible to score between 1 and 9 points Whoops.)

(First Thoughts: This feels like a good song, but I dont want to move it any higher up the list. I dont know why not; may or may not figure it out on a future listen.)

I find this song rather agitating tonight for reasons Id rather not get into. Its helpful in terms of trying to build up a higher tolerance for certain things, but thats not exactly an enjoyable experience. Its obviously something I can enjoy without issues (see: liking this song originally), but right now, its just too...well, agitating is a good word for so Ill use that again. Sorry.

[Final Thoughts: Well, the good news is that its not as agitating as it previously was. The bad news is that Im still not particularly into it. My interest in Pink Floyd-esque psychedelic rock fluctuates wildly from day-to-day (in an unrelated writeup Ill actively wish for songs like that, because that was an interested day)... today is a very uninterested day.

1: Not a fan of the title. I know this album has many worse examples, but my response to a song named after enemas is I very actively do not want to listen to this. Its minor enough that I doubt it had any impact on the scoring, but its. Still

2: I find the instruments to be quite vexing. Whatever that main instrument is, bass guitar or whatever, is just...incredibly vexing and I strongly dislike it.

3: The singing isnt as bad as the instruments, but it also annoys me. I cant decide if I want Maynard to shut up or not; on the one hand, not listening to his voice would be nice. On the other, that would mean more focus on the instruments, and that would probably be worse.

4: I like California. Usually Ill give you some points for global destruction or apocalyptic songs, but focusing it on the area Id rather not be obliterated is probably not the best idea.

(But what if its a metaphorical L.A., you would hypothetically ask, and I am so incapable of caring at this moment.)

No aspect of this song works for me on any level. Its competent enough that I dont hate it and I might move it up the list a bit before its eliminated, but no, I do not like this song.]

[Final Thoughts: Competent enough that im moving it back up to the 40 point tier, since I at least see some appeal towards it, but this song is incredibly off the mark for me.]
