(First Thoughts: Uuuugghhhhhh....

I mean, I dont hate it, but theres no interpretation of these lyrics that I want to think about or discuss, at all.)

I do not want to listen to this, I do not want to talk about it, and I do not want to think about it. If I had to say something nice: I kinda like the instruments in the intro (it has a buzzing-like feel which is kinda nifty) and the outro, while too violent, does mention claws... which, yes, I am very easily manipulated by anything even remotely animalistic. I know clawing out throats doesnt imply even metaphorical claws, but... well, one takes what they can get.

I feel like I should probably have this song even lower, but it at least has a few parts that I want to offer praise to, which I guess keeps it from going any lower on the list? Barely.

[Final Thoughts: Per usual, remove all of Maynards lyrics, and Id probably like this.]

(First Thoughts: I find everything about this song incredibly off-putting. The lyrics seem appropriately sad, but seeing as I dont care for...anything about the song, theres only so far sad lyrics can carry it.)

Welll, suffice it to say, everything that happens to Sakura is way too far on the soul-crushing axis, to a point that if the song actually went into any details, this probably wouldve landed somewhere in the bottom tier. Perhaps thankfully, the song keeps things vague enough that I dont instantly hate it. But I certainly dont like it either; not a fan of the singers performance on this particular track, I dont think Im a fan of this genre (not that I can place it to anything), not a fan of the subject matter. Its not the worst, but theres basically no chance of this getting out of the 30s.

[Final Thoughts: Another of those songs that Im supposed to like. Weve got sad lyrics that arent quite soul-crushingly sad, a line about the light dying (not exactly what I want, but I can work with it), anime songs have traditionally done well for themselvessee Just Communication earlier in this topicbut Im just not enjoying it.]
