Cook in the oven. There's two ways to do this.

Very high temp: 450 degrees, you'll have to turn the steak over part way through. No need to sear.

Normal temp: 350 or so. Takes slightly longer. Pan sear the steak on the stove top.

"Sous Vide" method: watch a yt tutorial on this it's too complicated to explain over a phone keyboard.

Chef John sous videing a strip steak with no special equipment, other than a thermometer. You probably don't need to sear it initially like he does. He likes to experiment.
