Theres a lot to unpack on that case, and it depends on the level of income/education people have.

It's a lot like the bell curve, but opposite. People in the middle tend to agree that everything should be shared in a fair way, but you still deserve things you genuinely worked for. The other sides are more of the "Give me what I dont have, but I'm not giving you shit".

Look at the poorest of the poor; they want healthcare, food, etc at the expense of others (through giving of their "kind" hearts). Rich want what you have through taxes.

The middle however, tend to help others where they can, and also take what they can as repayment. If taxes were done fairly (by percentage) that would help the poor people, but hurt the rich (who have power). But if he do it based off of general amounts, it hurts the poor and loves the rich. It's not black and white; its grey AF with some spots darker/lighter than others.

To get the real point I'd have to write a whole college essay, but it's not the people; it's the institution(s) that educated these people.
