I don't think there's anything there besides money - it's sort of a gambling game. You get more money with each step, but there's an increasing chance to run into an enemy that's too strong to handle at that point and probably would fight multiple times if you try to go all the way through it. I never really bothered with it.

Do you mean the statues in the basement of the castle? I didn't realise there was a gimmick with that! I thought we'd just have to come back later when we can unlock the door. I don't have Lv5 Death sadly, never even seen it used yet. I'm guessing you mean Gold Needles? I didn't know they worked on those statues too but that's cool and weirdly makes sense.

Gacha game Final Fantasy Record Keeper gave Kain a "Increase Attack and Defense, start with Confuse" equippable passive a while back, to reference his brainwashing. I've always wanted an "Increase Mind and Resistance, start with Poison" equivalent for Lenna. Alas, no such luck.

That would be great lol, seriously does she have a latent death wish or something, she must be starting to build up an immunity by now.

Thanks to both of you for the frog tip btw, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I was probably thinking of a small frog not those giant enemy ones.

Fun fact about that Tyrannosaur fight--he's Undead and unlike the majority of bosses does not have the "Heavy" status that makes them immune to instant death and gravity effects, so you can just hit it with a Phoenix Down to kill it

...I don't know why it didn't occur to me that he would be undead and therefore susceptible to healing attacks. Lol. Phoenix Downs are weirdly expensive in this game so I've been holding onto them when possible, but yeah that would've been much simpler. Oops!
