All they have to do to make it is beat a Ravens team that's floundering. Even with losses to the Titans and Steelers, they'll be 11-5 unless they Browns it up against one of three of the worst teams in the league.
The Giants are quietly well out of that territory. There's a decent chance they will actually be favored in the game against the Browns when it comes along.

I would go as far as to say anyone who still considers them a bottom 5 team is clearly not paying attention.

Right now I'd put them clearly above the Jets, Jaguars, Football Team, Bears, Bengals, and Eagles, at least.

I'd put them on the same general tier as for example: The Texans, Lions, Cowboys, Vikings, Broncos, Chargers. I would consider those games tossups.

They're not far below Cleveland nearly enough that beating them at home is out of the question. Cleveland is barely ahead of that previous tier despite their record. I'd pick them to beat the Browns sooner than I picked them to beat teams like Atlanta or Carolina.

So a planet's somewhere out there, their history the same as ours is written. The only difference is that... Everyone's a kitten!
