The tweet isn't really about Rittenhouse. He was just being used as an example of her previous point where right wing pundits are complaining Democrats want to let out violent criminals while missing the point that privileged violent criminals are already being released.

If you prefer, swap out Rittenhouse for the affluenza kid except make him a poor black teenager instead of a muslim. Her point remains unaffected.

If you want to argue that the justice system is unduly harsh on black males, that is an entirely fair appraisal.

However, based off the evidence we have, the characterization of Rittenhouse as a violent lunatic, domestic terrorist that you can see so often is a poor one. I haven't looked in a while, but last I checked all of the actual evidence supports his self defense claims. Its not like he was indiscriminately gunning down as many people as possible, in the way that typical active shooters would.

Like, at most he should be punished for being in possession of the weapon while still being a minor. Maybe some wreckless endangerment.
