I had said that in response to the person before me that had said that we had seemed like we weren't really divided until the year 2000. So my repsonse was that the Republicans had set out to define what they wanted to say they really believed in and had picked things that pandered to gun nuts and religious people so they'd feel they where always obligated to vote Republican.
