This can become a memorable or forgettable thing for their discography. Otherwise as a group they seem to make a pretty good visual and vocal impression imo. Yeah they're perfectly fine as a group, they're adorable really. I guess there's nothing wrong with the song either, the choreo looks fun, I'm sure their performance will be great. It's just like I said, I would've thought the world of this song and even the concept two years ago (yeah like Popstars), but now for me it's like yeah it's good but you're not really contributing anything to the genre. I guess maybe I was expecting too much and the wrong kind of expectations at that, which to be fair that wasn't hard to do with aespa. But like you said, it's just their debut so yeah, there's certainly plenty to look forward to. Also it's still more original than anything BP have done as of late, so there's that. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] lol, on the one hand this is how I've felt ever since I got into idol pop. On the other hand part of the reason is that SM is really going for that feeling. I feel old not so much because of the song and the style and all, again it's not really anything new, but because this is what SM decided to go with. Also I should know better than to question it, they broke the views record hard, they know what they're doing. Which just helps make one feel even older. Don't feel too old though, the swing back to something more traditional WILL come one day, it's just that day is not today I guess. sabin017 posted...
