The irony of you saying this is hilarious. The online anime community IS seasonal and pretty frequently talks about the exact thing I brought up.

Do you also speak for the trees? >_>

Yeah and look at the discussion that goes on here. Virtually none, cause no one is watching the same stuff.. MAYBE someone will leave one comment but most of the time it's basically just people reporting what they watched/read to no response. The exception sometimes is a currently airing show or apparently gacha games.

Which isn't an issue relating to something being new or old, just people doing things at the same time. It's why things like book clubs exist.

It's even more of a moot point because plenty of the streams and clips are just as nice to watch months later. The "issue" if you can call it that is that it loses it's interactivity when it's not live. Even more so than most media, streaming is a social experience. The chat is as much a part of the experience as the streamer is.

If it's a matter of repuprosing content like chopping it for song segments, etc, sure, I can see that. How many vtubers right now are actually doing stuff like that, though?

like, are detective novels objectively inferior to other stuff because you're less likely to reread them after knowing the solution to the story? hell no that shits my fav non weeaboo content, i LOVE agatha christie even if i don't wanna go reread stuff like roger ackroyd

I've been re-reading Conan and I can't remember half of the culprits so far. I had the same thing happen while watching Murder, She Wrote when I was trying to find my place. In fact, the ONLY detective series I can consistently know the murderer in is Columbo, but that's because we see the killer commit the crime at the beginning rather than remembering it >_>
