I disagree. First off, whichever side revolts loses since the military will get involved at that point. Guns just can't stand up to an F-16. Even keeping it low-key the left has both better funding and access to communications and superior organization. While they may lose any armed conflict, especially on the right's home-turf, so long as they can keep it from escalating to that point they will win.
Basically, maybe the left will lose if they try to take on some militia group, but the right will probably lose if they DON'T. It's in the right's best interest for the left to engage in open conflict while it's in the lefts best interest to not.
The only way to win a civil war is through armed conflict.
