If Trump wins I suspect the west coast might try to succeed but, if they actually do it, the government will immediately deploy the army and it won't even be a fight. Conversely if Trump loses we'll likely see 'Truth Squads' or the like roaming around trying to hunt down people who aren't on the far left and local militia groups forming to oppose them.
