Have you considered that people aren't brainwashed by parties....maybe they just have consistent values and evaluate what the political entities they dislike say and do, and they think it's harmful? It's not arrogance to state the truth that up to now I've not felt a set allegiance to any one party in UK politics. What you say after the first line I totally agree with, there are plenty of legitimate reasons why someone will or won't vote a particular way. I already shared my example of why I won't vote for a particular party myself unless they make big changes at the top.
