Radiant Dawn has a weird difficulty curve that can be particularly unfriendly on your first time when you don't really know what's coming who's necessarily going to turn out good and there are all of these switches to different parties. There are also some plot problems and while support conversations as they'd been implemented up to that point probably weren't ideal, what RD did with them was bad. So not surprising if people like PoR better.
