Topic | I'm going to watch a Horror Movie every day in October |
PrivateBiscuit1 10/27/20 1:39:11 AM #306: | DAY 26.3: Eyes Without a Face On HBO Max This is a French horror movie made in 1960. And it feels like it. Eyes Without a Face is about a surgeon whose daughter became scarred and as a result, he lures victims into his home to perform skin grafts on his daughter as she slowly begins to lose her sanity. Back in the day, this was probably terrifying. Today? It's a slow movie. Not a bad movie by any stretch, but it's still slow. I see why it has so much acclaim though. It's legitimately a great, simple story! I enjoyed watching it, even if I was bored at parts, simply because it was so well done. The body horror aspects were outstanding as well. All of this culminates into a perfect conclusion, honestly, and it's obvious to see why it influenced a lot of people, including Michael Myers's mask in Halloween! It's a classic, but it does feel dated. Not much scary here, but there's enough here to make a good narrative. I recommend it if you want to see a horror classic. Rating: 6.5/10 --- I stream sometimes. Check it out! www.twitch.tv/heroicbiz/ ... Copied to Clipboard! |
