When prequel memes first started becoming a thing i made an effort to rewatch them to see if I could enjoy them as a fun, nostalgia fueled, "ironic" experience like a lot of people were saying they are. didn't bother rewatching revenge of the sith, but i have no idea what's supposed to be fun about attack of the clones or phantom menace, they're both shite. bland, boring, lifeless. awfully written, awfully acted, awfully directed.

i'm able to enjoy a few movies that were originally released around the same time "ironically" such as the first 2 Harry Potter films and all 3 Raimi Spider-Man films (had to pause Spider-Man for about 5 mins coz i was laughing so hard at "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFIED?!") but the prequels just suck. there's nothing entertaining about them.

i've only seen the first sequel film, but it's much better than anything that came out of the prequels so i suppose i'm sequels > prequels. don't know if i'll ever bother to watch the other 2, but have a hard time seeing them being as bad as the first 2 prequels.
