Overlooking that you're literally suggesting eugenics by promoting restricting breeding as an option, the religious (minus Mormons) tend to have kids at a lower rate than the general population. And religious whites -- the group you're really talking about -- have fewer kids than minority groups, which is one major reason why the national demographics have changed over the years.

In fact, whites have the second-lowest birthrate in the nation (behind Asians).

However, leftists don't need to wait for the birthrate to adjust things (which might not work anyway because the new voters aren't automatically going to side with their parents' views) -- they can simply use immigration to bring leftists into the nation. If you can get a lot of people from failed far-left regimes like Venezuela, you kinda have a baked-in voterbase who are hardcore left because they grew up in a leftist society so Bernie's state-run everything doesn't seem extreme to them, it seems the norm. And if you help somebody into the country, you often buy a life-long loyalty even if your policies fuck over their ability to start businesses and prosper by their own merits (which is the hallmark of far-leftism which can't tolerate any success outside the state).
