I think it depends.

If you like the company you work for then a sabbatical is definitely what you should do. It'll help you refresh and it always give you a new energy in your work.

If youre burned out on the company and not just your job then i'd move on. I worked for a company that just kept making dumb decisions and hiring people that were shit. Then when i'd get promoted every person above me had the reputation of being an asshole and shady. It showed and i left.
