i put my two week notice in at my last job without a job lined up. it's risky, but if you have money saved up it's doable. the job was just too shitty to deal with, and i needed to get out of there immediately. by putting my notice in, i lit a fire under my ass and applied for a ton of jobs, and was able to find something a few weeks later.

my advice: if you don't have money saved up, you really shouldn't put your notice in, but if you do it might not be a bad option. with that said, do you really think things won't get better at that job? because they might.
