Yes and no. It's important to be cognizant of how your audience is going to interpret it, as with all communication, but the original use is still very much a part of the vernacular (at least among certain circles). There's precedent for stopping use of terms and whatnot because they've taken on very bad connotations (the swastika being by far the most notorious example), but that doesn't mean it always has to go that way. --- This is my signature.
