I am laughing at how hard fitzpatrick is taking his benching. Dude was deluding himself if he ever thought he could make this team his team. He's been through enough teams to know that he's never going to be the answer. I get being upset because yeah, he was playing well. BUt he sounds really bitter and like he's been betrayed.

This is kind of silly and reads like you read something else he was saying.

He has never said that they made the wrong decision. Just that he was disappointed because he was putting up better numbers than people like Tom Brady and he's getting benched. He's always been replaced when he was performing poorly, but for once he was doing really well with his team in what may have been the last time to prove himself, and he's being benched.

He was realistic enough to know that he wasn't going to be the guy this year, and he's said that multiple times, and went into it with that in mind, and he is supporting Tua the whole way. But he's allowed to be disappointed he's being benched now given how well he's been playing and connecting with his team.
